When you know you are doing too much Chemistry......

Syndrome 1: When doing shopping, u will read the ingredient section and u will critcise using chemical language.
Exmaple: On an Aqium handwash bottle, in front said no alcohol but at the ingredient there is a chemical with a hydroxyl group on. So when the salewoman saying to you that it is a very good handwash and blah, blah, blah... Your reply is: does a molecule containning a hydroxyl group not considered alcohol?!

Syndrome 2: When u read abbreviation, u think of chameistry context rather than the original context.
Example: When waiting to bank in money, u saw the back of the shirt of the lady in front of you written J.O.C., you will immediate think of Journal of Organic Chemisty but actually she is wearing her uniform of one of the cosmetic company.

Syndrome 3: Read chemistry more than anything else.
Example: When u are on the bus, poeple are reading over your shoulder and get amazed because you are not reading the news paper but some chemistry articles.

So people, if you think one or more of the above description(s) happening to you, you are definately doing too much chemistry!! Good on you!!!

Another interesting topic will be how (Chemistry) years old are you?
Honours has started almost 3 months and find that I've learnt so much about chemistry like I have never learn about it before. It's like a baby learning how to speak. So if you think about it this way, Uni. 1st year is a new born, undergrad. will be a 3 year-old kid and I will be a 4 (Chemistry) year-old child. Then all the prof. is 30+!! Woo... 30+ year doing chemistry, that is really doing a lot of CHEMISTRY.
