Passing on the knowledge...

The library is an amazing thing. Not only does it hosts thousands and thousands of books that are readily accessible, but it also houses some of the world's finest journals. You can basically get anything ranging from philosophical arguments and statements to Fortran programming books. The problem is, most of the time, there's so much to choose from that a novice just wouldn't know where to start from. However, just after spending a couple of hours in the sanctuary full of hidden knowledge, one tends to pick out several books instead of just the one that he or she would have originally plan on borrowing.

Additional time spent reading several chapters from different books then gives the reader a feel for the kind of book that they are looking for. You know you are reading the right book when others also have read it before or even recommend it. The only shame would be that you have not read the book or heard about it before. Motivation then springs out, and you start to become a bookworm, obsessing over the book...well, at least until you've finished reading it.

I guess, what I am trying to say here is that one must never judge a book by its cover and never over-rate a book. Someone somewhere else is always writing something better. I would read this over any gossip magazine any time, any day. The key to finding a good book is to just keep reading lots of books... At least thats what I've found out over the years...
